I have come before you to eat my words. Earlier, in “Its a Lesbian Thing” I wrote (well, ranted rather) about how this blog is not about being a lesbian, it is about being a young person in the world who is trying to find her way. Well, since I posted that, I have gotten more comments by lesbians (thanks for commenting), more followers who are lesbians (thanks for following), and more opportunity from LGBT publications than anywhere else. It seems that there is a market for a lesbian who is up on LGBT issues and who has lived (and is still living) through being a married lesbian in the military. If I am lucky enough to discover a need in this world, and actually be able to fill it, then it would be silly and arrogant of me to walk away. So, I lied. This is a blog about being a lesbian–or at least being a young lesbian trying to make it in the world. That does not mean that intend to subject you to endless pictures of my dancing in the clubs or whatever, but as a message to all of the lovely lesbian readers out there (or anyone who is LGBT in the military with questions), feel free to ask questions or start discussions on this blog. It seems that being a lesbian is my area of expertise, and at this phase in my life, I cannot afford to walk away from that. Maybe I should re-title my blog “Becca the Lesbian”… it would get more attention…but I lose the alliteration, and alliteration is sexy.
